| 2017 Yorktown Town Hall Flagpoles Re-activated |
| On Thursday, December 7th, 2017 our Yorktown Post #1009 joined with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8328 to re-activate the flagpoles at Yorktown Town Hall. The original flagpole and veterans monuments in front of Town Hall were removed to install handicapped parking spaces for the building. In its place three smaller flagpoles were installed. The old flagpole was moved to the center of Patriot's Park adjacent to Town Hall. The Town Board had the three veterans monuments installed there also with lighting. In addition, there were 6 flagpoles installed to display the flags of the branches of the US military services. |
