                   If you have served active duty in the armed forces
    during any of the time periods listed below, and have been
    Honorably Discharged, or are currently serving, you are
    eligible for membership in The American Legion and
                                        WE WANT YOU!



    World War I            
                            April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918


    World War II                 
                            December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946

    Korean War                   
                            June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955

    Vietnam War                 
                            February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975

    Lebanon/ Grenada        
                            August 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984

    Panama                          
                            December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990

    Gulf War/ War on Terrorism              
                            August 2, 1990 - Present


           Membership dues at American Legion Post 1009 are
    $35.00 per year.  Join us in the ranks of 'Veterans helping
    veterans'.  Use the 'Contact Us' button to let us know your
    mailing address and we will send an application out to you
    with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to return it in.  We
    make membership easy because you've already done the
    hard part... becoming a U.S. VETERAN!
